VIDEO: LA Transplants – What is it Like to Move to Los Angeles? (Part 1)

LA Transplants - Art Room Collective What’s it like to move to the entertainment capital of the world? Everyone’s road to LA is different. No one’s path is ever the same. However, there can be similarities in one’s journey that can be relatable and helpful. In this first installment of LA Transplants, we meet four young artists who have transitioned from the midwest to Los Angeles. Each and every single one of them are at different points in their careers, and we hope that you can take something away from their ongoing journeys in order to maybe implement into your own paths.

The cycle of inspiration continues…

Director’s Statement: I grab so much inspiration from hearing other people’s journeys.  It brings the power of relation to the forefront and creates a feeling of “I can do that too.”  Growing up in the midwest, I’ve always known I would make my own transition to Los Angeles, but I didn’t really know how I would do it.  That was my sole motivation for putting this series together.  I want to document and share multiple artists’ journeys to Los Angeles in hopes that their journeys may help the future generation.  My story and many more to come in future installments of this series.  Stay tuned!
